Letter from Steve Gladstone, Cal Crew Director:
Dear Alumni, Family, and Friends,
The squad had superb performances this past weekend against Stanford. There's no question that their program has made significant strides. It was necessary for our Varsity to bring their A game, and indeed they did. Their race was aggressive from the first stroke and it was satisfying to see that they accelerated the boat in the last 500 meters. We're now training for the PAC-10's. I've made it clear to the squad that we have to keep focused on our day by day preparation for this event. We absolutely will not look past Washington and Stanford or any of our other West Coast opponents.
