Cal Crew Tailgate Party—November 12, 2011
Every year the Friends of Cal Crew sponsors a tailgate party at a home football game. This year's tailgate will during the Oregon St. game on Saturday, November 12th, 2011. The game is at AT&T Park in San Francisco, and the tailgate party will be at the Gordon Biersch restaurant on the embarcadero in San Francisco. We have rented out the entire terrace at the restaurant. We invite everyone to stop by for lunch and beer on us.
Head of the Charles, Alumni Tent—October 22-23, 2011
This year Cal will sponsor a tent in the Alumni Area at the head of the Charles. More information will come as it becomes available. The head of the Charles regatta takes place from October 22-23, in Boston, MA. Last year the bears took third overall, and are looking to win for the first time since 2009.
2nd Annual Dinner, Dance and Live Auction—March 23, 2012
On April 30th, 2011 the Friends of Cal Crew hosted the first annual Dinner, Dance & Live Auction event that raised over $56,000 for the crew. The evening was a great success, with our very own Andy Rogers as the auctioneer, selling a cake for $700! We thank everyone who came to the event and we hope to see everyone again this year. The event will be on March 23rd, the day before Alumni Day. Location and time have not yet been determined but please look for more information soon.
Alumni Day—March 24, 2012
Alumni Day 2012 will be very special as we are going to unveil the Ky Ebright statue at the boathouse. We invite all alumni, friends, family and supporters to join us on Saturday March 24 for a day that will not be forgotten. We will have the annual class day races, statue presentation and a brief message from the coaches. We hope to see everyone there!
